Sage Mountain Names Danica Griffith Chief Growth Officer

Former PNC and Goldman Sachs Executive Joins Sage Mountain in Newly Created CSuite Role

ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 23, 2026) — Sage Mountain, a leading independent wealth management firm serving ultra-high-net-worth families nationwide, today announced the appointment of Danica Griffith as Chief Growth Officer, a newly created executive role designed to help build the growth and advisor infrastructure required for the firm’s next stage.

“Danica is extremely talented and the perfect person to spearhead this critical part of our future growth,” said Scott Neu, Co-Founder and CEO of Sage Mountain. “She has the unusual combination of having built a successful advisory business from the ground up at Goldman Sachs and having led a large, complex organization at one of the country’s largest banks. She understands firsthand what it takes to build a great advisory business, lead at scale and create an environment where exceptional advisors can be successful.”

Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Atlanta, Sage Mountain is one of the fastestgrowing independent RIAs in the country, with more than $8 billion in assets under advisement as of June 30, 2026. It has grown at a dramatic pace by combining the experience of its Wall Street heritage with the flexibility of a boutique firm.

In her new position, Griffith will oversee Sage Mountain’s growth strategy, lead recruitment activities and direct the firm’s advisory team. Her mandate extends beyond recruiting to include partnering with the existing advisory team, developing repeatable organic growth, talent development, succession and practice management, strengthening the client experience and building the infrastructure that can make growth a broader institutional capability.

For Griffith, that next stage is rooted in a simple idea: accomplished advisors should have the opportunity to build and own something together. Sage Mountain’s model is designed to give advisors meaningful ownership and autonomy while also providing the benefits of one integrated firm, including shared capabilities, talent and a collaborative culture.

The model is also intended to create a better experience for clients. Rather than viewing independence as an end in itself, Sage Mountain is focused on what it allows advisors to do for client families: see more of their financial picture, advise more broadly, coordinate with other professionals and bring a broader team around the relationship.

“Sage Mountain has already built something really special,” said Griffith. “What excites me is the opportunity to help exceptional advisors build and own something together without having to go at it alone. If we’re going to ask an advisor to make a move, it should make them more successful and create an even better experience for their clients. My job is to help build the growth engine that makes that possible while protecting the culture that makes Sage special.”

Griffith joins Sage Mountain after nearly seven years at PNC, where she most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk and Change Officer for the bank. In that role, she led a 650-plus-person organization responsible for first-line risk and compliance, regulatory governance and change management. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade at Goldman Sachs, where she built a private wealth advisory business and founded the firm’s first all-women-led private wealth practice in the Southeast. She holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard, both with honors.
